Gabby Humber came to Shepard Law with a record of academic and courtroom achievement that set her apart before she was called to the bar. A graduate of Auburn University magna cum laude in Technical English and Political Science, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law — graduating at the top of her class — and scored in the 98th percentile on the Uniform Bar Exam.

While in law school, Gabby received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in both Criminal Procedure II and Cybercrime, and served as Associate Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. She spent her law school years working in the Cumberland Innocence Clinic, advocating for individuals convicted of crimes they did not commit — developing both the legal skills and the conviction that every client deserves a genuinely rigorous defense.

Gabby began her career in Birmingham, Alabama, handling criminal defense and appellate work across every phase of the criminal process — from pretrial motions through jury trials to appellate advocacy. She has argued and won before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, a distinction earned by few attorneys at any stage of their career.
